Off-the-shelf Modules

Learning design for the Talespin VR off-the-shelf titles Effective Feedback: Positive Feedback, Adaptability, and 5 client VR modules.

Process

  • Interviewed subject matter experts, and translated their knowledge and expertise into sound instructional design.

  • Collaborated with narrative designers to design interactive narratives that meet client requirements and effectively target learning objectives.

  • Documented conceptualized designs in an Experience Requirements Document.

  • Created personae and backstories for interactive characters used in training modules and provided art direction for net virtual humans to represent characters in modules.

  • Conceptualized virtual story worlds and used GenAI art tools such as Midjourney and DALL·E 2 to communicate art direction where needed.

  • Validated scripts to ensure they were aligned with learning objectives, key demonstrations that served as behavioral indicators were present, and there were ample opportunities for learners to demonstrate the target skills.

  • Integrated performance scoring into the module by tracking performance variables and scoring skill demonstration based on a defined skill execution rubric.
